Filming in Mauritius

Government agencies promoting film production in Mauritius

Mission: To help navigate filmmakers through the production waters and incentive available in Mauritius

Established in 2001, the Board of Investment (BOI) is the national agency mandated to promote Mauritius as an attractive location for film production.  Over the years, the BOI has put at the disposal of the international business community a personalised range of services to attract international investments and talents to the country, aiming at propelling inward investment to new heights. As the agency responsible for the new Film Rebate Scheme it provides advice and assistance to film makers seeking to take advantage of all that Mauritius offers.

Also available to assist producers is the Mauritius Film Development Corporation (MFDC), which is responsible for issuing permits and production licences to filmmakers wishing to shoot in Mauritius.  The MFDC can also assist filmmakers with preliminary locations scouting and other relevant support and facilities.
